If you are going to work abroad, you may be asked to provide a notarised copy of your degree certificate or other qualifications. Your employer may request that the document is notarised, apostilled, legalised and/or attested. UK degree certificates can be notarised using our online notarisation service without you attending an appointment. This is especially useful if you are already abroad. We will ask you to email us a copy of your degree certificate and ID documents. We will then confirm with your university that your qualification is authentic and produced a notarised copy of your degree certificate that can be sent for apostille and/or embassy attestation. You will receive your completed document through the post or by courier.
You may also be asked to get a criminal record check notarised, apostilled, legalised and/or attested. The exact procedure depends on the type of criminal record check that you have used (ACRO or DBS). We can deal with these documents without you attending an appointment but we will need the original document sending to our head office. If you are abroad, you might opt to have the document sent to us directly from ACRO/BDS.
