The Notary Solution

Attested Company Documents for the United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates as a jurisdiction is particularly strict when it comes to the attestation of commercial documents.

All commercial documents, once notarised need to be attested at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and then legalised at the UAE Embassy. The embassy will not legalise documents that are bundled together so it is essential that the documents are notarised individually and this includes the memorandum and articles of association which would usually be considered to be one document.

There is a huge difference in fees between personal and commercial documents and as a rule, if the document is commercial in nature it will be classed as commercial by the embassy even if you are signing in a personal capacity. If in doubt, please forward the document to us and we will be able to advise.
